Join Áine Andrews as she looks at some well known and loved paintngs. Each week she will choose a single work of art in a major gallery or museum in cites like Cork, Dublin, London or Paris and bring it to life in an colourful presentaton. The lecture will reveal fascinatng details, stories and facts as she examines the subject, the artist and the rich historical background of the work. Her illustrated talks will include links and connectons to many other relevant works.

Lectures will examine an individual works from the Crawford Gallery Cork and Dublin City Gallery - the Hugh Lane in Dublin as well as the galleries of London, Paris and Florence.

Áine is an art teacher and prac5sing ar5st. She taught for many years at Coláiste Choilm Ballincollig Cork and regularly organised art history study trips for students abroad. Having been awarded the School Teacher Fellowship in 2000 she studied Art History at Trinity College College Dublin. She is the author of Apprecia(ng Art published by Gill Educa5on and regularly gives presenta5ons on Art History to students and teachers in venues around the country.
