In this Half-Day Sumi-e Workshop for Beginners, participants will learn brushstrokes and techniques for painting grasses, flowers, trees and mountains.
Sumi-e is the Japanese word for the Art of Black Ink Painting. It is a unique art form in which the fewest possible strokes are used to capture the essence of the subject being painted using only black ink, handmade paper and a special brush. It is calming and relaxing.
This Workshop includes one week's access to pre-recorded online lessons.
No materials required: fee includes use of materials and refreshments.
