Limerick School of Art Design and South Tipperary Art Centre, present, Mixtape: The Closing A series of ensembles, performances and sound interventions performed in the STAC to mark the completion of the Mixtape exhibition by students of third year in Photography, Film Video and Sculpture Combine
The event is open to the public and will run from 3.15pm to 4.30pm as the last of a series of performances, video installations, sculptural interventions and events around the exhibition which previewed on the 23rd of January 2020. These ensembles and sound performances are led by LSAD staff members Michael McLoughlin and Séan O Daláig who have been working with the students on sound scores and compositions over the course of their year 3 programme. This is the first time these pieces will be performed to the public and will resonate with the historical, cultural and civic importance of the former bus station now art centre and the context of the MIXTAPE curatorial oeuvre led by Helena Tobin. With special thanks to the sponsors South Tipperary Art Centre, Tipperary County Council Aviation Graphix!
