‘Social Engagement and Practice – Building for the Future’
We are now inviting applications for this Creative Ireland project from Tipperary artists interested in developing or expanding their practice through social engagement.
The aim of this project is to go beyond once-off engagement with groups within the local community and instead develop an ecosystem where artists who are interested in, or already have, a socially engaged art practice have the opportunity to develop their practice and work together with groups.
Please read the following criteria carefully
4 artists will be selected to take part in the project.
TIMELINES - The 1st phase of the project ‘Mentorship & Professional Development’ will run late April – late June 2024. The 2nd phase of the project ‘Community & Public Engagement’ will take place from early September – mid October 2024.
Applicants MUST be available to engage with the project during these timeframes – delivery will be mainly in-person here in Clonmel, with some online mentorship. Please take this into account when considering if this opportunity is suitable.
Applicants must be born in or domiciled in County Tipperary.
The selected artists will each receive an fee of €700, as well as payment for the delivery of engagement activities in the 2nd phase of the project.

Applications will be assessed by an panel including project partners and an independent artist. The decision of the project partners is final.
Successful applicants will be notified the same week and MUST be available to attend an Introductory session during the week of April 22nd – date TBC.
