STE(A)M Workshop 1 South Tipperary Arts Centre will host four interactive workshops for younger people that break down barriers between art and science. Run by artists Cleary Connolly these workshops are suitable for senior primary and secondary school children. Poetic Devices is an introduction to the physics of vision and viewing devices through Cleary Connolly’s amazing creations and a fabulous collection of optical objects. For over a decade Anne Cleary and Denis Connolly have been making multidisciplinary art and science projects in partnership with world-class institutions. For Clonmel Junction Arts Festival they’ve put together The School of Looking: a week-long programme of art and science events, including an exhibition of interactive artworks that will change your relationship to time and colour; a summer school for younger visitors; talks and demonstrations, and of course their incredible Metaperceptual Helmets.
