We are now inviting applications for our two-day Socially Engaged Practice Mentorship Programme with Séamus Nolan, supported by Creative Ireland.

We are now inviting applications for our two-day Socially Engaged Practice Mentorship Programme with Séamus Nolan, supported by Creative Ireland as part of our project ‘Social Engagement & Practice — Deepening Connections’.

This mentorship and peer-exchange programme will take place at STAC over two days in November to support artists working through socially engaged and community-based art practice. It combines collective learning, one-to-one mentorship, and the development of an evolving local archive of socially engaged practice. The programme will start on November 11th from 10am—4pm, with a further day of one-to-one and peer support on November 25th  from 10 am—4pm.

Séamus Nolan is an artist and one of Ireland’s leading collaborative arts practitioners. He has recently completed a PhD with the School of Art History and Cultural Policy, UCD, the School of Visual Culture, NCAD, and the Collections Department at the IMMA. His practice-based research examines the role of contemporary museums in representing marginal cultures, with a specific focus on the Irish Travellers.

Closing date: Thursday 23rd October at 5pm. Late applications will not be accepted.
